A Delaware resident since 2013, Dr. Steven Kocher grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio.  He earned both his Bachelor's Degree and his Doctor of Optometry at the Ohio State University where he graduated in 2012.

Dr. Kocher began his career at a private practice in Bucyrus, gaining extensive experience in family-centric eyecare, specialty contact lens fitting, emergency eye services, and surgical post-operative care.  Dr. Kocher then relocated to Delaware where he continued to practice optometry before opening his own office at Delaware Family Eyecare in 2015.

In his free time, he has volunteered as a trustee of the Central Ohio Optometric Association and is a member of the Delaware Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Consulting Board of the Delaware Community Center YMCA.

Dr. Kocher and his wife, Jessica, reside in the Northwest Neighborhood of Delaware, and they often spend time downtown visiting our local businesses. They enjoy walking to Staas for craft beers, dining out at our many lovely restaurants, and occasionally catching a movie at The Strand.  On the weekends Dr. Kocher plays flag-football, baseball, golf, ultimate Frisbee, and volleyball with a group of local sports hooligans, and occasionally enjoys playing small-stakes poker with his best buddies. He and Jessica are parents to three fur-babies: Luna, a paradoxically rowdy and lazy English bulldog, and Ardy & Islay, two cats that like to party after bed time and wake up before the alarm clock.
